born in Berlin, son of Kurt Krigar (film director and cinematographer) and Anneliese Krigar (film cutter)

studies at HdK Berlin (today UdK), main subject painting

member of Norddeutsche Realisten (North-German Realists)

foundation of the painters group triumviratus with Pekka Hepoluhta and H. Ilmari Rautio (both FI)
